Yes there are. There are many Latinos living in Charlotte, Pineville, Monroe (NC) and York and Rock Hill (SC). When I worked for La Voz de Carolina and ImpactoLatino we were tracking the influx of the Comunidad Latinoamericana in the Carolinas. The latest US Census is a great resource as it shows pockets of the community in and around Charlotte. A simple drive down many of the streets in these towns will help you discover wonderful signs in many different languages, among them are those in Spanish. We even have a 3 branches for a credit union devoted to the Latino Community: http://www.latinoccu.org
and have several Spanish language radio stations, newspapers and magazine publications. We have a latin festival and there is even a shopping center near Carowinds devoted to the latino community.
If I can answer any more questions, llame!
As real estate agents we are not allowed to "steer" customers toward particular neighborhoods or areas based on ethnicity, but you asked a general question about whether there are communities. There are not 'latino neighborhoods' but that was not your question. A good way to discover the community, if you cannot drive around yourself, is to pickup a copy of some of the publications and look at the addresses and locations.
