Would the "Barry Goldwater Museum" have raised central Phoenix's property values?

Asked by Trulia Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ Tue Oct 30, 2012

City Hall's seems to have a lot of egg on it's face after the museum went to Mesa instead. What difference would it have made if it was built in Phoenix? Are there other efforts going revitalize downtown Phoenix?

I enjoyed this YouTube video about down town Phoenix:

It is informative and captures the down town vitality.
I hope you will enjoy it, too.

I am a downtown specialist and a Barry Goldwater Museum would have had little impact on the area. Downtown Phoenix has seen amazing revitalization happening over the past decade. It is home to many great things including:

ASU Downtown Campus with nearly 13,000 full time students.
US Medical School
ASU College of Nursing
TGEN: Recognized as one of the top genetics projects in the world.
Chase Field and US Airways Center.
The Phoenix Convention Center (among the top 20 in America)
The Heard Museum
Phoenix Art Museum
Arizona Science Center
lots of concert/music venues
great hotels including the Sheraton and the new Palomar
plus killer restaurants.

Housing in the area is a vast mix of single family homes and condos living. Many places have great walkscores, especially since the light rail system runs through the heart of downtown Phoenix.

We posted a series of articles about things to do in downtown Phoenix. I think we have about 100 things to do and we could easily add to that list. YOu can see it at: http://urbanconnectionrealty.com/100-things-to-do-in-downtow…

Downtown Phoenix is definitely a happening place.

My suggestion to you would be to drive through the areas you are considering and make up your mind that way. Rolling the dice on "efforts to revitalize downtown Phoenix" would be speculating and we all know what happens when people speculate... What don't you like about downtown Phoenix? It looks pretty vital to me.
