Trulia may not be #1 in volume, but their mobile app is great - easy to use (does crash from time to time - but so does everyones) :)

Not sure of what the definition you are considering for "traffic" but one would believe that there could be a wide variation based on this feature.

Form the general sense of the term, Realtor.com is consistantly showing an edge over all others.

Results are what really count... so, go with Realtor.com! It's the public version of the REAL MLS that the Realtors list their properties from so ALL the listing are there!48

Thank you for the feed back on which site brings more traffic zillow, trulia or realtor.com. I think I should have asked which site I should consider to work with to acquire real estate leads in a zip code?
Has anyone had any success with any one of these sites?

P.S. Alexa is not reliable because it doesn't track users who don't use their browser toolbar ("Sites with relatively low traffic will not be accurately ranked by Alexa. Alexa's data comes from a large sample of several million Alexa Toolbar users and other traffic data sources..." -- http://www.alexa.com/help/traffic-learn-more)

If you ask each of them - they will tell you they are #1.

Site Information for Realtor.com
Alexa Traffic Rank: 839 Traffic Rank in US: 187 Sites Linking In: 6,319

Site Information for Zillow.com
Alexa Traffic Rank: 833 Traffic Rank in US: 184 Sites Linking In: 6,512

Site Information for Trulia.com
Alexa Traffic Rank: 1,289 Traffic Rank in US: 298 Sites Linking In: 4,150

From this information - It goes Zillow.com - Realtor.com - Trulia.com

Now - what of this traffic is prospects vs. professionals???

Thank-you Abel for the Best Answer...

As far as traffic I consider it a question of how many people visit the site or Unique visits and there are many outfits that do that (Just google Site Traffic Rankings). The numbers ( visits) seem to change from place to place depending on who's counting, how and why but the Ranking positions seem to be fairly consistent...

Example...Trulia claims they get 6 million plus unique visitors a month base on a count produced by a company they hired to count for them yet every other independent count (Alexa, Hitwise ect.) say they get about half that but 6 million is what Trulia places on their PR and Ads promotions for using Trulia ect.
http://www.trulia.com/blog/pierre_calzadilla/2010/02/special…

I would suggest that anyone who researches just a bit into what unique visits are and how it's manipulated, abused by most companies on the internet would soon know that ignoring the numbers (6million) and paying attention to how each outfit has the sites ranked is the best way to determine which one Consumers favor....Remember every Agent who visits Trulia, Zillow, Realtor.com for any reason is counted as a visit and since IP#'s are used to count each time any one use's a different computer they are counted again.

RE Industry people are well aware that numbers are manipulated all the time so please remember that the numbers are used by each site to sell AD space or PRO programs ect.
Example..Trulia claims 6 million visits and evidently no Agents visit Trulia since all 6 million are suddenly consumers when selling products or trying to get Agents to use Trulia...

"Trulia is a major part of a successful agent's online marketing strategy. Why? More than 6 million consumers come to Trulia.com each month searching for real estate information. This is a unique audience of serious buyers and sellers who need the help of real estate professionals:"
http://www.trulia.com/about/professionals/

I'm sure as far as numbers Zillow, Realtor.com, rent.com ect. all do the same...

If you're an agent with listings, you should be utilizing all 3. I get equal number of inquiries from Realtor.com and Trulia.
