jb74560,

You've received some great responses to your question about good places to live near Fort Lauderdale. If you are still interested in an easy-to-use website for finding a place to rent, visit: http://luxurylivingfortlauderdale.com/fort-lauderdale-luxury…

You can search available rentals listed in the MLS (the database used by Realtors) by area, price or both. Plus you can view photos, see details about homes of interest and more!

Let me know if I can be of further help.

Galt Ocean is one of my personal favorites, full of highrise condos. It's right on the beach and you can walk to the grocery strore, bank, restaurants and it's close enough to Lauderdale by the Sea so you can easily enjoy events such as Art, Jazz and other festivals. Victoria Park, Coral Ridge and Rio Vista have more of a single family home feel but are still close enough to festivites and the beach so you don't forget you're living in a beach town.
I hope this helps and would be happy to answer any questions that you may have about our beautiful city Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale has many great neighborhoods. It all depends on your preferences and budget. For your search go to http://www.biscaynebay-realestate.com/site/search_v2/#f and switch "property type" to rental in the drop down. It shows you everything that is currently listed, the data is current and there is no spam and scam in there! Feel free to call me if you have questions or need assistance.

A good source finding a home in or near Fort Lauderdale is your Fort Lauderdale realtor. Please give us an idea of what kind of home you're looking for (condo, townhome, single family home) number of beds and baths, city or cities in which you'd like to live in addition to Fort Lauderdale, and a monthly payment that would be comfortable for you.

With that information, your realtor in Fort Lauderdale will be able to search for home around the area that may work for you.

Depends on what facilities/services you require. If you want to be close to the beach then you would need to be east. Housing generally cost a bit more however shops, malls, restaurants can be walking/short drive away depending on where you are. West may be considered to be quieter, with housing costs less than east. You are more than likely to get more house space for your money when in west ft lauderdale. Again depends on your immediate requirements. Let me know how else i can help at TessaBeausoleil@keyes.com
