Where can I get the best pizza in SE Aurora (80015, 80016)?

Asked by Larry Brake, Aurora, CO Mon Oct 21, 2013

I'm tired of limp crusts that fold in half when I pick up a slice, canned sauces, bad mozz, week old veggies, and pepperoni and Italian sausage with no spices.

I actually found a good spot recently, Brick House Tavern, which is great for many things, but also has delicious artisan pizzas. Below is an example from their menu:

kobe brick pizza* 11
marinara, american kobe beef, brick cheese,
caramelized onions, oven roasted tomatoes,
crispy bacon & arugula

Larry, you bring up a lot of good points in your question about finding the best pizza in your area. Once you find a pizza place you like it would be good to remember that place and what they serve. Another thing to consider is if they deliver or not. Its good to know there are so many good pizza places that both deliver and have quality food. http://www.petesza.com

LuBo's NY Pizza at 15352 E. Ida Drive is my favorite! 303-693-9196. They are located at the intersection of Parker Road and Orchard Road.

"We believe pizza and beer belong together. Our belief is so strong that we have decided to conserve the grains from every batch of hand crafted ale and incorporate them into our agave-sweetened spent grain pizza dough. Our artisan pizza will be served crispy on the outside, while remaining sweet and chewy inside. Spent grain pizza is also available in thin crust!"

There is a really great wood-fired pizza place over by Quincy and Buckley (right next to GameStop). It is called A-Town Pizza. They have thin-crust Neapolitan pizzas. We picked up but I think they deliver in the area as well.

Anthony's Pizza has the best New York style in town hands down. Don't take my word for it, stop by and try it yourself.
There are a few in town but the best of the bunch is in the King Soopers shopping center on the SE corner of Iliff and Buckley.

There is a very good Pizza place and the cops hang out there, so you know it has to be good...
It's called Mama Alvino's Pizza. Just go in and sit. Order at the window. Pay at the window. Don't expect service except for them delivering it to the table. Save a lot of time that way.
15179 E. Colfax behind POPEYE's.

Good Pizza - not good service. All the good places are out of business

Armando's at 5428 S Parker Rd best in 80015 that I know of.

Larry,

Jonny's Pizza seems to head the list. Great choice. I can think of a better one I would recommend over this; but try them all. Pizza is an individual choice.

Old Chicago in Southlands is pretty good or Anthonys off of Smokey Hill. I have not tried Lubos but will put that on my list to venture to.

I vote for Lubos at Orchard and Parker Rd. - Tastes just like NYC! And the people are super nice. http://www.lubosnypizza.com/ (I dont work there - I just eat there!)

I can vouch for Lubos. It is on the northeast side of Parker and Orchard Rd. As far as I know, it is a family owned and ran business. They are a small establishment with great service and always busy.
