Orlando has areas were crime is markedly lower than some area in the rest of the country. So your broad generalization is unfounded. Facts are facts.

I have been asked many times , what are the "safe" areas in Orlando?

Here are some resources to utilize when exploring neighborhood options in Orlando and surrrounding areas.

Hi sherrylatimore,

Thanks for turning to TRULIA for your real estate questions. I’m sorry that none of my fellow agents have bothered to reply to your question. The fact is, this may be a difficult task, for little to no pay. If you were a cash buyer, or a high end renter, agents would be fighting to work with you.
However, I believe in treating everyone equally, and will do what I can to help you.
Please feel free to contact me directly and I’ll be glad to send you listings for properties that are CURRENTLY for rent that are hopefully in the areas you desire. I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer here in Orlando, and I can do my best to tell you what areas I feel are “safe”. (Would I live there, or allow a friend or family member to live there?)

My name is Annette. I saw your answer to another posting. I am an older single woman who will be attending UCF this summer and fall. I am looking for a rental voucher 1 or 2 bedroom apartment in a nice area and I am hoping that you might be willing to assist me. Thank you.
