East Manhattan Beach is basically divided into three sections -- north of Marine, Manhattan Village, a planned gated community, where most homes are town homes but the few "estate homes" which are single family homes are generally on lots of about 5000 square feet.
Between Marine and Manhattan Beach Blvd, east of Redondo Avenue you have the Liberty Village area, with lot sizes usually 50 x 100, and west of Redondo Avenue is the Manhattan Heights area, with varying lot sizes, but most either 50 x 140 or 50 x 150. Finally, in the "Mira Costa" section (named for the nearby high school), the lot sizes range from 50 x 125 to 50 x 150, with some very large lots of over 10,000 square feet.
Streets in east Manhattan also tend to be wider than in the Tree Section or Sand Section, except for 8th street near the water tower, which is quite narrow.
