What is a good place to live in dfw? I currently work in Grapevine, my husband works in pantego, and we both go to school in Arlington.

Asked by allie22, North Richland Hills, TX Thu Feb 20, 2014

We are looking to buy a home/townhome in the price range of 60,000-120,000. Depending on the type of home. We looked in Arlington at some townhomes and didnt like the areas at all. I love Grapevine but I know we couldn't afford it. What is a reasonably priced area with nice starter homes? I feel like I've looked everywhere, We don't have a preference between suburb or city.

I just sold a perfect one in Watauga yesterday! Have you looked in that area? You can go to my website and search if you would like. http://www.candiesmith.com. Or I can set up a custom search for you in multiple areas in your price range.

Thank you,

It is rare to find a home in the city of Grapevine for under 120K, if there are any that pop up they are in dire need of major repairs. Some areas of Euless are in GCISD and priced well, also Hurst has some very nice communities. Arlington has nice areas, you have to know the area.
Find an agent to work with and they will be able to show you every area and keep you current on what is available, the market moves fast in that price range!

You may be able to find some in Euless Hurst area. Have you been approved for a loan? If not and you need financing I would suggest that you start working with a lender right away. It's a hot sellers market and you have to get everything ready to make an offer. You can also check my website at http://www.dfwdreamhomes.net for updated listing.

Did you check Mansfield? I have been working with buyers quite often in that area who were looking for similar situations as yours.
