What area of Fort Worth is a good place to rent?

Asked by Jessica Griffith, Fort Worth, TX Tue Jul 23, 2013

I currently live in a small town north of Dallas, I am looking to move to Fort Worth with a friend in the next couple months. I am 21, and straight out of college so I would like to move to a nice area that is also affordable. I would like to be in an area that is appropriate for a 21 year old, but also safe. Thats really my only preferences!

Most people probably would not know how to answer your question because you have not provided enough information, ---and you ask a subjective question!

What does it mean when you say "a good place to rent?" What does the word "affordable" mean in your vocabulary? What kind of areas are "appropriate for a 21-year-old?" And most importantly, where are you going to get a job?

If you are a 21-year-old that likes to party, I suggest you get an apartment in the downtown area. For more security, get an attended building, and be sure to live on an upper floor. If you can afford it, get a house in the suburbs where the crime rate is lower.

But without knowing what your budget will allow you to spend on rent, it is pretty hard for anyone to try and answer your question. I just rented a new apartment today for about $1100 with a garage, a private balcony, and it's near a golf course and expensive homes. If you shared the rent with a roommate, it would be "affordable." ---And Walmart is close by for groceries!

I can also help you save money on your electric bill. Write me for the details. Would you be interested in a free month's rent?

Good luck to you!
