Allister,

Following are links to a couple of dog-friendly resources:

1. City of Fort Lauderdale Doggie Guide: http://www.fortlauderdale.gov/cityparks/dogs.htm

2. Broward County Dog Parks: http://www.publicdogparks.com/floridadp_008.htm

I hope the links are helpful!

Hi Allister,

The least dog friendly areas usually are gated communities for homes and most condominiums. However some gated communities or condominiums may allow dogs but will have restrictions.

What are you looking for, a house or a condo and what price range?

Allister,

I have yet to come across a neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale that isn't dog friendly. As an owner of two dogs, my criterial includes sidewalks and lots of green space. Most neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale meet that criteria with the exception maybe of downtown and surrounding cities like Colee Hammock. However, some of the luxury condo buildings in downtown, like 350 Las Olas Place, created private green space and dog runs for residents to overcome those obstacles.

If you are considering a particular neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, I would be happy to share my knowledge of the area
