It's a very quiet, clean, low crime part of SF.
There are beautiful views, and many local cafes and restaurants just a few blocks away. I like the village feel of the neighborhood where you get to know your neighbors, have your favorite cafe-barista, hair salon, and be a regular. Washington Park is a nice place to picnic, hang out, walk your dog, or jog around. There's also a great clean swimming pool with sauna where you can do laps, classes, and outside there are new public tennis courts.

Kearny & Union is a quiet, safe, and clean place for young people to live. Depending on the orientation of your apartment, you might wake up to a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay. This intersection is a few blocks away from the North Beach nightlife, where bars, nightclubs, and strip clubs abound. Trader Joe's and Safeway are walking distance away, as are Chinatown, a bevy of clothes boutiques and cafes, and, of course, Coit Tower. People of all ages live here.
