Weare interested in a beach front houhe in Alligator Point. Can these type of houses be financed? How is the insurance market for these homes?

The insurance for a house at Alligator Pt. is VERY VERY high! We were quoted $11,000/yr. for complete coverage on a modest shoreline home ( personal household items not covered )! Our current home in FLis a few houses away from the shore , on a private road with private beach walkover and the insurance is a third of Alligator Pt. quote! Do your homework, research the storm history for both the area and the home before committing ( ask LOTS of questions )! ;)

Yes these homes qualify for standard financing as long as the home is in livable condition.
The insurance is high in this CRITICAL SHORELINE area and requires flood, wind and hazard coverage.
