With this post being 4 years old, what did you end up using to find your rental?

Hi Stephanie,

There are lots of great schools in Wake County.

These two web sites provide helpful details on schools: http://www.greatschools.org/ and http://www.ncschoolreportcard.org/src/

Please call me at 919.749.1117 or email me at langefeldm@hpw.com if you have any other questions.

Hi Stephanie... North Carolina has county wide school systems. Raleigh is located within Wake County which has one of the better school systems in the state. You'll have decisions to make about year round vs. traditional, magnet schools and general locale. You can get more information about schools at http://www.wcpss.net . As far as finding a property, I know of several good local firms that specialize in rental homes. If you will contact me directly, I will email you those contacts.

Moving to a new area is never easy and can be quit challenging moving with kids! Researching online to find the best school districts is a great start. The National Center for Education Statistics will give you data for each school district and can help narrow down your decision. Once you have narrowed down your choices, visit the schools, talk to the teachers or the administration staff to get an idea of the atmosphere and ask questions! Once you have decided on the school district finding a good rental home should be easy!
