As far as crime rate, your best bet is to contact the local police department. As for school, it is subjective. You may check http://www.greatschools.org/ or http://www.schooldigger.com/.

Marco, Growing up in Arlington and currently living here now you are asking a great question. I would be happy to send you a link or provide you with information comparing the crime and school to where you are currently living. That way you can compare the areas in Arlington to the area you are currently living in which you might view as normal. Let me know if I can help 817/888 460-8765. There are some great areas in Arlington and on the edge of Arlington. I would be happy to discuss in greater detail if you want to call or email me.

It's a big city. Every city has crime. Even gated communities have crime. Some people think they are safe behind gates, but there is crime there too. Check out the Trulia Crime heat maps.

Best schools....lots of people like Arlington city with Mansfield ISD. You can check out homes in this area at this link:

What is your price range?

There are some neighborhoods with $500K houses where the crime is probably not a concern, but I actually live on the "edge" of one of those expensive areas in NW Arlington, so you can get a $130K to $150K in a really nice safe area with good schools.

I'm not a big fan of the the EAST side of Arlington. Don't know crime stats; just an older area that's not as nice as some of the neighborhoods on the west side. That's a personal opinion and not meant to reflect negatively on anyone. In general, Arlington is a pretty nice city to live in!

You can go to crimereports.com, sexoffenders.com and nces.ed.gov for crime reports and school reports for any city, pre TREC agents are not permitted to give out this information other than sites a client can visit.
