We are moving to the Mandeville, La area in June. What is the best jr. high and high school in that area? We are trying to decide which area buy in.

Mandeville Middle, Fountainbleau jr. and Fountainbleau High are definitely the best in the area. They all have a rating of 9 or higher on all of the local school rating websites. I personally have a 12 year old who attended Mandeville Middle and will be moving on to Fountainbleau in the fall. We have been incredibly pleased with the quality and I will continue to recommend these schools to all of my clients with school-aged children.

Hi Volfan,

I moved to Mandeville 4 years ago and couldn't have been more happy with the outstanding schools here. My son is currently at Fontainbleau Jr High in the 7th grade. Being involved with sports, my son has freinds at Mandeville Jr High as well. As stated from everyone else you can vist the St Tammany Schoold Board website to get a school to school comparison. Your descision is pretty simple because all of the schools in Mandeville can suit your needs.
Call me or email me if you want to discuss more. I'm new to the area too so I can get you on a fast track to understanding what Mandeville has to offer a new family. GOOD LUCK

Hi Volfan!

You have chosen an outstanding School Community to live in! St. Tammany Parish has some of the finest schools in the country! Having worked as a Parent Volunteer for the last 10 year's in the schools I have had first hand experience inside the schools. You truly cant go wrong - my suggestion is to visit the individual school's with your children and explore what each of them have to offer. They all have unique things to offer! I wish luck! If I an help in any way just give a call 985-630-3925!

Congratulations and welcome to Mandeville. As you peruse the public school board website, you'll notice that there are 3 junior highs (Mandeville Jr, Fontainbleau Jr, and Montleone Jr.) and 3 high schools (Mandeville High, Fontainbleau High, and Lakeshore High) within Mandeville.
Please note that Lakeshore High opened this year therefore there will be no testing data available. It was split off of Fontainbleau High School. Additionally, the school opened with only 9th and 10th grade this year, with the intent to add 11th and 12th in subsequent years. Lakeshore is generally populated from students who attend Montleone Jr. High (Southeast Mandeville & Lacombe) , Fontainbleau draws from Font. JR. High (eastern and northern Mandeville outside the city limits & Abita Springs), Mandeville High draws from both Mandeville Jr. (Mandeville city limits and western Mandeville) and Madisonville Jr. High (all of Madisonville, south of I-12).
Its a lot to digest! I'd also encourage you to visit each school's websites (links are all found on the http://www.stpsb.org). Lastly, if you want a side-by-side comparison of scores, enrollment, and other data, you can visit my website below and check out the spinning red apple under "buyer resources." Here you can compare private and public schools all around the greater New Orleans area.

Happy hunting!
