Spouse may be relocated to office in Statesville, NC. ??

Asked by Katheryn, Pittsford, NY Wed Mar 26, 2008

We are currently in upstate NY and are thinking about moving to the Charlotte area. Looking for upper middle
class neighborhood within walking distance to parks, playgrounds, restaurants. Highly rated elementary schools key. Need to be close to Statesville, but also near Charlotte, in an active, "upscale" community. Definitly do not want to be in a sleepy, rural area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Statesville is a very nice town to live in! You are within a very short drive to any of these more congested areas yet you do not have to deal with the hectic drive to work everyday! If you will be working in Statesville, the commute from Charlotte, Mooresville, Huntersville, etc, is slow going, I used to drive to Cornelius for work and I would not want to ever do that again during morning or evening rush hour!

Statesville is nice, however if you want lots do do like you listed I would check out Mooresville, Huntersville... and its still close for his commute to work. Check my website for school info: http://www.yolondareedy.com

Dear Katheryn,

Although Statesville is a nice town, I would hesitate to settle there. I live in Mooresville and I highly recommend it. The area offers highly rated schools, miles of shoreline on beautiful Lake Norman, Public and Private Golf Courses. A Nearby State Park, Mooresville is a convenient location betweem the major metropolitan area of Charlotte and Statesville.

There is a variety of homes in Mooresville, I am sure we could find something that fits your needs!

For now, please check the following sites

First, totally honest? IMHO it would not be a home in Statesville. It's OK to work there but..... good schools? not. Sleepy and rural NC ? yes. Old mill town? yesss.
Statesville is Not Charlotte, which is what I call the last Northern City. See my video Intro to Charlotte at:

Mooresville and Davidson are both good choices with excellent schools and neighborhoods in each, adn are roughly midway to Charlotte and an easy against rush hour commute to Statesville...

You can visit my blog, and search Lake Norman area for upper lake Mooresville, and Lower lake Davidson http://www.charlottecommunitiesonline.com or my website below. Relocation is what I do,and would be happy to help.

I would also tecommend Mooresville. It was rated the #65 best city in the US by Money magazine in 2007, the highest in NC. It is halfway between Charlotte and Statesville. There is a lot of local info on my website. I went to SUNY Oswego!

Well I would start with Mooresville, This is a great location right close to I-77 access for trip into Charlotte. or North to Statesville. You will find many different forms of areas within this boundry, if you would like to go further South you can try Huntersville. Give me more information and I would be glad to start to send you school information etc. Your are right close to Lake norman that is 500 miles of shoreline. You may reach me at 704-607-7514 any time... My buyers love my searches and I can make your move a pleasant one. I am orginially from York, PA.. and have helped many people from the North make the transition.
