Need to rent a home in Northampton area...

Asked by Russ Phillips, Portland, ME Mon Jun 30, 2008

My wife and and I are relocating to Northampton for work with our two dogs (corgis) and are heaving a tough time finding a place. We want to buy a home but need some temporary housing to get settled and to get to know the area. We've tried all the online listings without much success.

What kind of corgis do you have, cardigan or pembroke? I have a male pembroke and a male cardigan mix.

I was born and raised in Northampton, MA and I still live in the Pioneer Valley. My family (also Northampton born and bred) owns some rental properties there so feel free to contact me via my email

Have you tried Craig's List? I rented my home (a very nice 2br condo downtown) on Craig's list in a single day. Dogs can be a challenge, even adorable ones like corgis!

A home I had listed is about to be put on the market to rent, it's in Westhampton about 20 mins. to downtown Northampton. Rent will be approx. $1400. per month plus utilities. is the website with all the particulars.
Also try Tayor Real Estate in Easthampton, 413-527-3375, ask for Bernice or LeighAnn Conner.

Let me know if you need anything further..
