Need Help - Review of two sections of Bridgewater. Finderne & Bradley Gardens

Asked by Sv, 08854 Sun Sep 26, 2010

Finderne: Located in southeastern Bridgewater between Bound Brook and Somerville.

Bradley Gardens: Located in southwestern Bridgewater, bordered on the east by Raritan and Branchburg to the west.

Can anyone provide pros and cons of houses in these two sections of Bridgewater? Its old neighborhood with some new constructions in the section. I'm trying to find how safe these neighborhoods are and which elementary/middle school it falls under.

Thank you for your time!

Hi Sv, I've sold homes in both areas - the couple who bought in Bradley Gardens is very happy with their decision, they both home school and use the public schools and it seems to be working out. You are very close to highways and shopping, including the Bridgewater Commons Mall and WEGMAN'S - who doesn't love Wegman's??

I believe that the Finderne section feeds into Adamsville elementary, but I suggest that you check on the school assignment by calling the school district. When I recently did that to answer an inquiry for a buyer, I was directed to a transportation line - and given the address, they could answer definitively on school assignment.

You'll find information on the community overall at the Township website:

I think you will find a different feel in these two neighborhoods - so good to do your own research and also just explore to determine what area feels most like "home" to you.

A good resource for comparing and contrasting schools is the Star Ledger School Report Card:

In terms of safety and crime, suggest you call the police department.

I you would like further assistance, I'd be happy to help.

Finderne section is generally closer to mass transportation and highways. Bradley Gardens in my opinion has a little more rural feel to it. As stated previously the only way to know the school for a particular house is to call the transportation department and ask. the phone # should be 908 722-1820 I believe it is extension 12

I live in Raritan Borough, which is close to the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater. I am not sure if the words pro's and con's are correct to decribe the two areas. They are both sections of Bridgewater and have the same type of homes in the same price range. They both have their own elementary schools, and then there are two 5th and 6th grade schools and one middle school for 7th and 8th grade. You can visit the local police department for crime stats. I hope this helps.
