I would speak to the school system here about the schools they seem to be growing and filling up and moving children around a lot in union county, since most of the growth in s. Charlotte is in that area. I show a lot of property and sell it there. I live in south Charlotte, one of the most desirable areas. Lived here for 25 years. I would love to give you the grand tour, my relocation clients love it.

I wish you lots of luck in your relocation. You have gotten many responses and as you can see everyone seems to be in agreement that Union County is great. I moved to Weddington from NY 14 years ago and now live in Wesley Chapel. My children have attended Wesley Chapel and Weddington Elementary schools, Weddington Middle and High as well as Charlotte Catholic HS. I would be happy speak with you about the area, schools, shopping, doctors, etc...Give me a call if you want to "chat" about the area. I know a move can be stressful but just speaking with someone that is a parent and went through the same thing can often make it alot easier! Hope to hear from you.

I just found a client a 2007 House in perfect condition with 4 Bedrooms for a HUGE discount! They wanted a STEAL and we found it.

I've helped clients find deals in Union County in all price ranges. From $150,000 to $650,000 or more! One client bought a $2.1M house for $650,000 with NO MONEY DOWN!!!

But even if you're looking for a house under $200,000 -- there ARE deals out there. You just have to look for them. And that's my job.

Good day, I K!

Yes, Union County is a desirable destination on the south side of Charlotte, NC which give you lower taxes & great schools! Union County is just over the Mecklenburg County line making it convenient & a reasonable place to live for the added perks you get. I am a native to Charlotte & grew up in the area, boy has it changed... but I believe for the better. Still have the love of the country's beauty surrounding you, but with urban life at your finger tips, as well. Best of everything in Union County....

Figuring out your location of where you want to live is one of the most important factors of home buying, but there are many other factors that go along with the purchase of a home. What size of a home are you looking for & price are two other important factors. Do you need a lender? It is important to have a great lender. I am happy to refer you! AND if you are in search for a great Broker/Realtor to represent you in the buying of your home, I'd love to talk with you & learn more about what your needs are for your family.

Please, call me 704-661-4166 (Laura L. Miller) and let's talk about your needs & wants for a home and your time frame! And I will get you started in your search for your perfect place to call home, here!

AND if you need a qualified Broker to help you sell your home in MD, I can help you there, too! Just let me know!

If you need me, I am a phone call away... Best of Luck to you in your relocating!

Hi there!
You will love this area! We have 4 beautiful seasons in North Carolina (usually with fairly mild winters). We have great schools and neighborhoods. Especially in Union County. I moved to Union County six years ago from Charlotte for the schools.

My kids went to Marvin Elementary and are now in the Marvin Ridge High School and middle school. Make sure you check out Marvin Elementary School when you are here. Great school!!!

This area is just outside of Charlotte so you get the best of both worlds....close enough to Charlotte for games, art, shopping, dining etc. The people here are wonderful.

Helping your family find the perfect home would be a great pleasure for me. Call me with any questions. Looking forward to talking with you!

Congratulations on the upcoming mov
e! Top Rated schools are always a top priority for those relocating. Marvin, Sandy Ridge and Weddington are my top 3 elementary schools. Marvin, Weddington and Cuthbertson for middle & high schools. Great test scores! I speak from experience having 3 children now in the Marvin school system. I have also focused my 12 year real estate career on Union County. I know every community inside and out. It would be a pleasure to help your family make an educated decision and choose the ideal new home. I am free March 21st thru 30th. I look forward to serving your real estate needs!

I have lived in Weddington for 16 years and I love the area. My children attended the Weddington schools. I would suggest that you check the school websites at for scores, etc. The Union County taxes are lower than the Mecklenburg taxes as well.
There are some neighborhoods with swim club communities such as Lawson, Cureton, Wesley Oaks and then there are some that have larger lots and all custom homes. I would be happy to assist you with any additional information.

Hi I K!

Welcome to Charlotte/Union County! What happens to be the reason for your relocation? When it comes to Union County, there are several excellent options for schools, especially for that age - people have high regards for Weddington Elementary. There are tons of excellent neighborhoods and communities in Union County and the taxes and fees can be much lower than Mecklenburg.

I would love to help you with your relocation, so please feel free to reach out to me anytime with questions. You can email, call or text anytime!

I am very familiar with the Union County area. I have been selling real estate in the Charlotte area for the past 17 years and 10 years in Westchester County, NY. When we moved here, my three children were very young and have since graduated from the wonderful NC State colleges. I am available the end of March and would very much like to speak with you further about your upcoming move to the Carolinas. Please visit my website at to learn more about me and the Charlotte market. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Good afternoon, I K!

Congratulations on your future move to Union County. My Sister lives in Union County (moved because of schools for my Neices and lower taxes) so I understand the desirability. Also, I sold new construction homes for a Builder and also have sold homes to several Buyers in Union County too.

There are numerous Neighborhoods I could suggest to you but would love to learn more about your needs, lifestyle and price point first. You can get a lot more house for your money versus Mecklenburg county plus a larger lot size.

I would love to be apart of your Interview process for a Buyer's Agent and would love the opportunity to make this transition as seamless and smooth as possible for you and your family!

Whatever direction you may go in, I wish you the best and I am here for your guidance!

My wife and 2 kids moved to Union County nearly 7 years ago from Denver, Colorado and have not looked back. Great schools and low taxes were too appealing to pass up! Another thing to consider (if both parents work) would be day care for the kids in the interim. My company has a great relo packets with valuable information for those moving to the Charlotte metro area. I'd be happy to email or mail you a copy ... just let me know what you need.

There are some awesome schools in Union County! It is known for it's lower taxes and good schools. Depending on where you work, your price range, size house wanted, and other factors, I can quickly direct information your way that will be meaningful. After a short discussion, I can set you up for a good "sampling" of what is available to help you discover good areas. This can all be done in prep for your visit.

P.S. I moved to Union County 6 years ago for the schools and lower taxes! I'll never look back! Glad to help!

I K,

There are a lot of good options avaialble to you in Union County. A great website that rates schools is this will show you how schools in the area compare to other schools in the state in acedmeic performance. Another site that is useful for schools is

In terms of neighborhoods and places to live. Union county offers a lot of great options depending on what type of lifestyle you want. They offer a wide array of house choices and price ranges.

narrowing down your search by what you are looking for in a house, how much land, type of home, and price range will better help me hone the areas that will work for you.

I made the move here with my four children six years ago and had much of the same wish list you have mentioned. I love the opportunity to help you out and show you around Union County.

You can give me a call or e-mail me so we can discuss in more details your needs so I can better serve you when you come to Charlotte.

Hi! Union County does have several top schools but not all of them are created equal. I've included the NC School Report link so you can check out the schools before you arrive. I suggest you also visit the schools while here. Our school year starts in mid-late August so you should plan your move accordingly.

I'd love to be of assistance and have a lot of experience with Union county. I'd be happy to send you more information.
