Is Abacoa a good section of Jupiter? Interested in a 2/3br townhouse/condo with a yr round pool in a locale

Asked by Interested, Jupiter, FL Sun Oct 26, 2008

close to beaches and nightlife but my budget limit of 250 may restrict my search. I have no interest in a Ft Lauderdale strip setting but I want the locale to be such that it draws my two mid 20 kids to visit. I dont want any offbeat or fringe developments. Gotta be concrete and newer with the right features like 9 ft ceilings so I dont want to waste anyone's time, Is a good section of Jupiter doable given my requirements and budgets. Honest thoughts be most appreciated

Abacoa is your typical "Home Town" type development, like Tradition in Port St. Lucie ( A slum) or the Villages in the Ocala area (lotta swingers - so not all bad).
Abacoa has high property taxes, high fees, little or no privacy and inhabited by what we used to call Yuppies (I don't know what they are called now).
So, if this your thing and you think a Corvette or a BMW is a sports car, your wife or girlfriend has fake breasts and drives a giant SUV whilst talking on her cell phone, this place is ideal.

Abacoa is an excellent section in Jupiter, but there are many other areas in Jupiter that you may enjoy.
I work mainly in Jupiter and know the area like the back of my hand and have been buying and selling real estate for over 25 years, not just the good times.
EMail me if you have a specific question or need and agent, best -- Pauline.

Abacoa is a wonderful section of Jupiter that has a lot to offer whether you are going to be a full time or part time resident. Most of the developments in Abacoa were and are being built by DiVosta / Pulte builders.
Your price range would be acceptable for townhomes in many of the neighborhoods. Abacoa is centrally located to some of the nicest shopping, dining and certainly the best beaches. Roger Dean Stadium hosts Spring Training and Triple A summer baseball that many residents get tickets to attend. Jupiter is home to FAU honors college and soon to be Scripps Research.

Please let me know if you would like more information about what is available in your price range and I would be happy to set you up with a MLS e-mail notification. You will be able to get the property information in the MLS format with photos and all the subdivision information.

Thank you in advance,

As a long time Abacoa resident I can certainly say with confidence that Abacoa offers plenty to do for all ages. It is also only a short 3 mile distance from the PGA corridor where dining, shopping and nightlife are plentiful. Roger Dean Stadium is the Spring training facility for the Cardinals and is a huge draw for our community. Jupiter beaches are spectacular as well and are less than 4 miles away. Additionally you are only 25 minutes from downtown West Palm Beach and the airport. Abacoa does boast concrete block construction and hurricane shutters are standard. You will find your 9 ft. ceilings in every model.

In your budget of $250,000 you will be looking at townhomes. They are immensly popular and spacious (most are 3/2 with attached garages). Single family homes are running in the low $300's.

I can easily send you information on the area, homes available in your range, and a listing of any short sales or foreclosures available if you would like to contact me.

Abacoa is wonderful as the community boasts many activities in the down town area as well as each communities individual clubhouse/pool and activities within. The town homes are spacious and bright and they have either one or two car garages. The location is ideal as Abacoa is close to both the Turnpike and I95 which takes you both north and south.

Please let me know if you have specific questions as there is much that the town of Jupiter has to offer. My family and I absolutely love the community as it is home to an ecclectic group of people, i.e. professionals, families, retirees, a bit of it all!

Take care!
