Prosper is a very nice area to raise kids and live. It is still growing and it is so new that the stats on crime are going to be very confusing. I would recommend that you drive the neighborhoods that interest you and speak to some homeowners and you will get the true story. I have helped several families move from Plano, Murphy, Garland and other places to Prosper as they were looking for smaller class environment for their kids and they all speak very positively about the ISD.

Let me know if I can help you.

Hi Beth,

I would be happy to provide you with a school rating guide from 2013-2014 as this is the most current to date. Also if you go to http://www.prospertx.gov/ you can get a wealth of information!

I live and work in Prosper and would be delighted to answer any questions you have about this wonderful City! You can also find more information and do a MLS home search on my website: http://www.collincountyhomeinfo.com.

If you can share with me your email I will provide you with the D/FW school accountability ratings.

The best place to find crime info is to call the local police department. They will have the most current and accurate info.

Beth, the Town of Prosper just had an event where 150 of the top local Realtors were invited to come hear directly from the leaders of the town about the exciting growth happening in Prosper, both on the residential and the commercial side. I was one of the agents at that meeting, and am also a Prosper resident since 2006. We moved to Prosper specifically for the schools (I have a 12-year old entering Rogers Middle School next month) and have not been disappointed. Call me at 972-816-4369 and I would be happy to share what I know about living and working in Prosper. Ronda Allen, C.P.M., Realtor, C21 Judge Fite Fine Homes & Estates-serving Prosper and Frisco

There are a few great resources around. I think it is best to contact your Community Resource Officer or CRO at the police department. Just call the main non-emergency number and ask to be connected to the CRO. They’re normally very aware of the good and bad areas of the area and can normally give you local statistics. You can also check out http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/ which provides stats based on the FBI uniform crime reports. You might also visit the FBI stats site at http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/ucr.htm#cius. Another place to checkout is http://www.Crimeweb.net . Hope this is of you to you. Prosper has pretty good schools. You can see http://www.prosper-isd.net/Uploads/72/misc/0607CopyofTAKScom… . Schools may change some as Prosper is really on a growth spurt and that can create some growing pains. The good news is there are school and city personel around from other cities that have good experience in fast city growth and they often get hired to take on the next challenge.
