How do you know when it's time to move?

Asked by Keith Sorem, Glendale, CA Fri May 18, 2007

There are different sellers. Some need to sell, some would like to sell, some will never sell. How do you know?

Often life changes precipitate a move: marriage, children, new job or an increase in income.

People move mostly for good reasons than bad reasons.
Good reasons are, 1-children are born. 2-marriage, 3-jobs, 4-sun shine State, 5-better areas, 6-better views'.....
Bad reasons are not that many and not worth writing here...

I think that a sure sign that's time to move for most sellers is when they are willing to do all the little things that must be done to put their home in market ready condition. I have found that sellers who balk at sprucing up the landscaping, painting the interior or exterior, or making minor repairs may not truly be motivated. A motivated seller does everything he can to put the home in top condition.
