When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

If you are interested in a property in a specific area and is concerned about crime. Please contact the police precinct that covers that area. You also have many tools available to you as mentioned by Chris.

Good luck.

Hi, we are prohibited by license laws from talking about crime. You can visit http://www.HomeFair.com and click on the city reports section for in-depth crime stats and area demographics. Other options would be http://www.SpotCrime.com and http://www.CrimeReports.com. I have a listing at 355 Claremont Ave in Fleetwood MT Vernon, check it out.

Realtors cannot and will not discuss CRIME,
if we comment either way, positively or negatively, we can be accused of STEERING and lose or license.
Go talk to the police.
