There are 18 neighborhoods, Harbor Point, Uphams Corner, Jones Hill, Savin Hill, Meeting House Hill, Mount Bowdoin, Four Corners, Fields Corner, Pope's Hill, Neponset, Port Norfolk, Adams Village, Peabody Square, Ashmont, Lower Mills, Codman Square Franklin Field & Cedar Grove. All of these places are T accessible most of which are connected by either the highspeed trolley or the Redline T. The others are along major bus routes that either connect to Ashmont, Dudley or Ruggles.

I can't say I know them all, but here are a few to get you started:

Andrew Square, Ashmont, Adams Village, Grove Hall, Lower Mills, Neponset, Savin Hill, St. Brendans (Cedar Grove?), Uphams Corner.

Some of these are noted on MLS and some are not, from a real estate perspective.

I'm sure others more familiar with all areas of Dorchester will chime in with a few more "local" descriptions.

I did a quick google too after I came up with my list, and wikipedia has a good map:

Good luck!
