You can check out many sights that have different info Here is one
"In 1998, an expert working group, organized by the National Institute of Health’s National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), assessed the health effects of exposure to extremely low frequency EMF, the type found in homes near power lines. Based on studies about the incidence of childhood leukemia involving a large number of households, NIEHS found that power line magnetic fields are a possible cause of cancer. The working group also concluded that the results of EMF animal, cellular, and mechanistic (process) studies do not confirm or refute the finding of the human studies. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (WHO) reached a similar conclusion."

Im not sure this is geared for real estate professionals. This is more of a health related question but I would venture to say it can't be beneficial!!!

So much evidence has accumilated indicating power lines and cell towers are hazards to health.
Even if one chooses not to believe the evidence the resale of the property will be effected because so many people will not live near power lines or cell towers. The articles at, Snags, Snares and Pitfalls will serve you well.
Best of Luck, Stephen

I understand that Trulia wants to generate conversations for threads on there. However, a question like this can be, and should be Googled by a interested buyer or seller. There are enough "real" concerns that buying a property next to or "close" to power lines would not even be in the top 100. FYI, if you lived in Tucson, like Central Tucson you would realize how many power lines there are here, unlike in an urban city like San Francisco where Trulia is based out of.

That is a question that needs to be directed to a doctor or to an electric company. There are lots of articles on the web also. Good luck.
