Can anyone recommend neighborhoods with Period Revival (Tudor, Storybook, Provincial) architecture?

Asked by Robert, Detroit, MI Sun Jun 29, 2008

Moving from Detroit and looking for Period Revival homes from 1920s through 1940s. Looking for something in the city or very close to public transportation.

In addition to the list you have already been given, I'd like to add Crafton to the South list and parts of Washington County (i.e., E Washington - city, McDonald); Sewickley to the North list - especially in the village. Good luck!

Dormont and Mt. Lebanon in the South and Ben Avon, Avonworth in the North are great areas for Tudors and Craftsman styles...Mexican War Streets and South Side have beautiful 100 yr old Federal Style/Victorian Style, Brownstones, etc. Mt Washington and Shadyside and Squirrel Hill have "four square" coloinals, Tudors, Vics, etc. too!
You can find beautiful old houses all over Pittsburgh!
