with a kitchen, bath on main level, and a bath on the second level. There are regiters in all of the 3 bedrooms and family and living rooms. If I decided to update the heating system and re-plumb the entire house with pex plumbing, any idea whay kind of cost this might be?

Fergus, Gordon gives a very good website with links to contractors. In 2002, my 100,000 BTU hot water "furnace" was $3,000. That was from National Heating and Cooling on Grand River. I'm sure costs have increased and that was just for the furnace, pressure tank, circulation pump, and 4 zone solenoids.

Have a Happy New Year!!!

Your best bet would be to find a reputable contractor to come in and give you an estimate. I suggest you visit Glen Haege's website at http://www.glenhaege.com to start your search for a contractor. You can also listen and call in to Glenn's radio show on WJR. (760 AM). When it comes to home improvement Glenn is the best source of information in Southeastern Michigan!

Good Luck!
