Are there any concerns about buying a house near the CEMEX quarry in Clayton, CA?

The actual address of the property we are considering is in Concord, but the house is within a mile of the Clayton quarry. I read on the US Geological Survey web site about a number of earthquakes measuring 1-3.0 within a mile or two from the quarry. There's a comment that says "probable quarry explosion." We are also concerned about air and water quality.

Lots of homes out there with lots of people living in them...Why not drive the neighborhood and see if you could catch an owner at home...

It can get a little dusty in the area at times and on rare occasions you might hear some blasting. Here's a link to an EPA report on the facility: http://epa-sites.findthedata.org/l/55870/Cemex-Clayton-Quarry .
