Cash is a good tool to have when buying a property. The purchase price can vary from foreclosure to foreclosure depending on which bank has it. Some banks want to get these properties off thier books before years end. Sometimes the longer the properties have been on the market the better chance of getting the house because that usually means its priced to high or they need a lot of work. You want to avoid a multiple offer situation if at all possible. In our area foreclosures are usually reduced every 30-45 days till sold but their are a couple of banks that don't do this practice. They will set their price and that's it. I live about 2 hours from there but my wife and I love to travel up there and shop, eat and see the mountains. Oh boy! Kids love living anywhere in Sevier County! It's a tourist area and loads of Attractions and fun things to do. Great food and Dolly Wood and Don't forget the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! I know my son sometimes takes it for granted now, but he LOVES it. Gatlinburg GP school has been touted as being like a private school that's actually public. The rule in Sevier County is that parents can send their children to any of the public schools in the county.
