I agree with everyone else, all 3 are great areas for different reasons. Just depends on what you are looking for. When my husband and I moved to the area 6 years ago we initally looked in Clayton but quickly found we were drawn to a little area known as the Cleveland Community. It has a rural feel, lower Johnston County taxes (vs. Garner/Wake Co.) but has very close access to I-40 (Raleigh, Smithfield, I-95) and has excellent schools. Cleveland is not incorporated so you can't search info specifically for the "town". If you have any questions about the area I'd be more than happy to assist you. As Sheri said - you'll need to be more specific with your Realtor when you choose one - I assume you don't have one already. As of this moment - there are 365 homes that meet the criteria you provided. Even if you were ONLY looking between 200-300K, then there's 174. What other factors are important - age of home. master bedroom up or down, schools, commute to work, etc? ... more
