USDA guaranteed loan is a great program if you qualify. No money down and relatively low mortgage insurance compared to other loan programs. Contact an USDA approved lender to learn about their specific qualification requirements.

I grew up in Franklin and went through the school system from kindergarten to sophomore year in high school at which point I went to Central Nine Vocation School that offered classes focused on my ideal career path. The schools were excellent and as a kid I spent many hours at the Franklin Skate Club and the Franklin pool with friends! Since I've grown up and currently live in Greenwood closer to work I know Franklin has greatly improved their parks system with large trail systems. There have been many businesses that have popped up as well Kohls, Lowes, and many more.

The only complaint I can say I had about going through the school system is that in Middle/High School they become very sports focused, where I felt academics should have been far more important.

You will get better square footage in Franklin than Greenwood though so this is a plus for many people!

My NC Homes Team answered:
In order to get a mortgage you need three things: Income - you have that covered, Assets - cash on hand to put down on whatever you're buying, and Credit. Without a credit scored you are not going to be able to get a loan. That said you may have a credit score. Have you been paying a cell phone bill, utility bills, a car note, student loans? All of these go towards your credit score. If you really have no credit score than you need to start building one up. I've attached a link below that you may find of interest. ... more
