You can not just transfer it, reciprocal usually means you just have to take the state law portion instead of both, but i would call the FL real estate commission to be sure.

I'm guessing you are dealing with Sundance Rentals. I cringe every time I see a rental I am interested in and they are the property managers.

Please consult a VA or FHA loan expert who can guide you through the whole process or else wait for the buyer till he / she extends the closing date.

Hi Donna,
I suggest you talk to a Mortgage Broker and ask them what is the best way to go about this.
Its tricky. One solution is you could do a shorter term lease so you can get settled, get a job and then find your piece of paradise in Florida.

Good Luck.

Ft. Walton is the incorporated city. Okaloosa Island is the beach which is not a part of the city. The beach is located east of the city over the Brooks Bridge toward the National Seashore which separates Ft. Walton from Destin.
Ft. Walton is know for its military bases: Eglin and Hulbert. Eglin is located north of Ft. Walton in the Shalimar area. Hulbert is west of Ft. Walton toward Navarre.
If you are thinking of moving here, please be aware of the "Sound of Freedom" around the bases.
