“Pictures without ALL the information are never the total picture and always the entire story ~! Pictures being shown, are attention gotcha, use to draw your interest. The rest, the information, will help you decide. Where that information comes from is IMPORTANT to you, and it may not all be on the listing information! Hire an agent that will tell you and find the missing pieces. Then when you actually view the property everything will begins to fall into place. Remember too to hire a Realtor® that is not the listing agent that serves the seller. Lastly, the seller pays the commission; you get to choose your Realtor®! I do not ant to be any RE agent, I want to be your REALTOR. ”

Good Luck in the searching

Hello, my name is Michael Collins and I am with Maxim Realtors. There are many great schools in Lee County. There are quite a few that are A rated and some of the high schools have great I.B. programs available. There are also great elementary and middle schools in the area. Lee County has a school choice program available to parents. This allows your child to attend the school of choice. if it is out of the area, you would need to provide transportation to and from the school. There are also schools that focus on the arts as well.

I hope this information has been helpful to you. if I can be of any assistance to you in finding you a home to purchase or to rent, please do not hesitate to contact me. I specialize in assisting my clients with relocation to this beautiful part of the country. I can be reached at 239-834-3664 or by email at

I lived in Palmetto Park (they like to call it Palmona Park) about ten years ago. It is not what would be considered a "good neighborhood" actually it is considered blighted, in the same catagory as Suncoast. Full of crime and drugs, considered a renters neighborhood. If you're considering buying I would think again. Plenty of other inexpensive options in North Fort Myers. ... more

This rental property is located in the East School Zone as is Dunbar High School, so there would be a school bus for your child to attend this high school.

You really should call the Lee County School District at 239.334.1102 to speak specificially about your child's disability. The schools here in Lee County that offer special services offer those services for specific disabilities (meaning they have specialized services for autism, emotional disabilities, etc.). If your child has an IEP, School Choice does not apply and your child can go to any school in the district that best fits his/her needs. They will provide door-to-door transportation as well if necessary. You can also visit to get further information about the school district if you haven't already done so. ... more

The closest elementary school is Ray V. Pottorf Elementary School. Keep in mind that the Lee County School District allows a student to attend any school in their local "sub zone", in this case, the South Zone, sub-zone 1 (there are 3 zones). They can also select sub-zone 2 schools. It can get complicated. Visit the District web site at ... more

My two children went to ECS from elementary up through 8th grade. It is a wonderful school academically. Your children will be well prepared for their future after attending ECS. Families that attend ECS live all over Lee county. I have known several families who lived as far away a Alva, Cape Coral, and North Fort Myers who attended the school, just to make sure their kids received a great well-rounded education. I would be happy to answer any other questions about the school. Let me know.
