Try contacting the former agent or agent's broker about having the old listing removed. Or you can try contacting trulia's customer service department directly.

Mark, Real Estate Pro in Oceanside, CA
Fri May 13, 2016
Mark answered:
The best way to find out the going real estate commission rate is to put the Realtor fees on the open market and let the Agents bid your commission rate. Commission fees are negotiable and can vary by zip code. We find the best way to compare commission fees is to reverse-auction them. That is why we created ListingBidder.com; a free service for Sellers who can invite agents to submit their marketing plan and commission structure. It is a patent pending process that is saving Sellers thousands.

It is completely free to the Seller and there is no obligation for the Seller to pick the lowest bid or any bid. The whole time the Seller remains anonymous as we never publish your street address or contact information. Sellers can sit back and review marketing plans, commission bids, ratings and reviews. A big win for the Seller. After all, Agents are not charged to register or bid and they have no obligation to bid. Give it a try: https://www.ListingBidder.com

I had a contract on a condo which the buyer wouldn't extend contract over New Years. The contract ended Dec 29, 2015. I needed a few more days to complete financing.

He had a cash buyer and wants to keep my earnest money. His attorney has been brutal. In the real estate contract you must notify 7 days prior of cancellation. I had no intentions of cancellation because I wanted condo.

I wanted a couple extra days due to Holiday's Christmas etc. Is there any consideration allowed for business days. I found out since that he had done this to prior contract on this condo?

David Lang, Real Estate Pro in Fort Myers, FL
Thu Sep 17, 2015
David Lang answered:
It's understandable why you would want to attempt to sell a home yourself, and you can! However, years and years of stats show that partnering with a good Realtor will "NET" you more money. It's just a reality. More exposure is what a good Realtor can give your property listing; more than anything the average person can do. More exposure to more potential buyers for ANY product results in higher sales price for the product and a quicker time frame. Think about who would choose to not work with a Realtor and choose to only to shop FSBOs when purchasing a home.....Investors? You are correct. Do investors want to pay market value for any home...no.
I hope this helps! Good luck!

Where is it listed incorrectly? There are people out there putting up misleading information to take advantage of innocent people that are uninformed on how the market works. We have had this issue occur on Craigs list and on other popular sites where they post the property for much less and tell people they only want cash no checks or wires for the property then the vanish... if its incorrect on Trulia then contact your agent as this site pulls directly from MLS listings, then Trulia to see why its showing inaccurate infraction. ... more

Jennifer Ferri answered:
Yes, this is possible. However, as stated by the agents below, you need to be careful.
I would not give any personal information out.
You would not need to share more than a phone number and an email.
If they are willing to put in an offer and sign a contract and put money in an account for escrow, you may well be fine.
DO NOT give them your bank info.
You will want to work with a title company and have them hold the funds.
A title company has protected accounts.
Call me for more information.
We specialize in helping sellers and buyers on FSBO transactions.
