I have a 3 y old daughter, we found Davie to be close enough to the beach and with nice daycare Christian Academy.
I lived in Weston, I loved too, Plantation is a good area as well, Cooper city has great schools.
So, not at the beach but the areas 20 or 30 minutes away will be a good choice.
Hope helps, feel free to contact me for local advice.

Hi,
I can provide first hand advice as I'm going through the process myself now. Are you thinking of building on the water or dry lot? New pool/dock/seawall or no? I can refer you to a great GC/architect/owners rep/etc.

I'm happy to discuss in detail and I happen to be a Realtor/attorney/MBA.

A good rule of thumb for luxury on the water is around $300/sq ft...a lot less if not on the water.

Thanks.

We work in Palm Beach and shoudl be able to find your something. You will need to be careful about finding a property not in a condo or HOA as most of them will not allow Airbnb type rentals and require approval of each tenant at a cost (with minimum rental periods).

You can contact us at 561-771-4457 or info@HKRealtyFL.com On our website you can also see all of the properties in the area for sale and browse for yourself based on your price range and other criteria.

sweetie do not move to fort Myers. There is a significant amount of hatred against both blacks, biracial, gays and lesbians, and interracial couples here. I moved here recently from California and it is a worlds difference than anything I have experienced before. When it comes to the church community here in Fort Myers, they are the most hateful and predudice of them all. There are also a large percentage of rednecks here or poor racists whites who will make your life even more difficult. No one on here will tell you the truth because most of the people commenting on here are probably part of the redneck group. ... more

It is not difficult. They have street lights and cross walk areas where the traffic must stop for a red light. If you REALLY wanna play it safe, purchase an annual Florida state park pass at Birch state park for $60 + tax and then park in Birch state park and they have an under ground walk way that goes under A1A (the road you cross to get to the beach). This way you walk UNDER the road instead of across it. ... more

Hi Erika... The RIVA Condos are going to be in a busy area of Fort Lauderdale, almost the heart of the City actually on Federal Hwy, close to a huge mall, car dealerships, restaurants, and a very busy intersection with Sunrise Blvd. I can suggest several other condos that are off the beaten path, but close enough to nice local coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance. My best- Bob Robinson ... more
