Unfortunately, you will not be able to buy immediately after doing a short sale. Your credit will not be affected the same way as foreclosing though. Many homeowners can purchase again within a couple of years after doing a short sale so, doing one is not the end of the world! If you need any help or want to discuss your options feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I am a distressed property expert, as well as, a local agent and can help.

Hello,
You have a good question and are in a similar situation as many homeowners today. You will not be able to buy again right away if you short sale your home. Although it is worse for you to let the bank forelcose on your home your credit will still be negatively affected by short selling your home.
There is a lot to understand when doing a short sale and i can help you with this if you are interested in such. I have some great information that would help you understand the process and your optoins.
You also mention doing a short sale in the spring? what is the reason for waiting to do a short sale?
