i am renting a house that just went up for short sale, but my contract expired about ten months ago, do still have to pay rent?

Section 83.56(3), Florida Statutes / This is the Statute that will explain that you are still obligated to pay your rent to the Landlord.Your situation is treated the same as a normal rental. Hope that helps

You owe rent to the owner regardless of whether the property you are renting is in foreclosure. That is a separate issue and has nothing to do with your obligation to pay rent.

Yes. Regardless of whether or not the owner is paying their mortgage has nothing to do with your lease & obligation to pay rent.
