how do you find actual foreclosures that are actually for sale?

A local REALTOR would always be your best option for the lastest MLS data. If you are hoping to relay solely on websites for this info you may be finding yourself coming in a few days too late.

another site that is good is http://www.hud.gov and search under real estate and city and state your interested.

All of the foreclosures listed on the realtors' multiple listing service are for sale. You should probably contact a realtor in your local area.

Either talk to a realtor and they can help you OR look at the links in the blog below. It gives the bank sites that have each ones listings for sale.
