there are government tax foreclosures EVERYWHERE right now... my questio to you would be do you want to buy one to live in, or as an investment?

Most people don't know that these are not always the best deal. You have to buy them 'as is'.... and yyou have to spend money up front for home inspection, termite, radon, etc, and hope that the repairs don't exceed the value.

Sometimes a regular property on the market is a better deal. If you are looking in Clearwater, I can recomend a great agent for you to work with there. I would not take on this task alone if I were you...

If you click on the attached link and clickon the "search by city" under Available properties on the upper left, it will bring you to the area where you can choose Clearwater , FL goverment owned properties. Currently there are two. These are most probably not tax foreclosures, but foreclosures based on goverment guaranteed mortgage loans.

Yes, there are foreclosures here in Clearwater. The best way to find them is to ask your agent to do a search for REO or foreclosure property. REO stands for real estate owned and is a term which refers to a property that is owned by and in the possession of the lender as a result of a foreclosure. It is also possible to go to a site like and do your own search. This is a list of homes for sale by the federal government. Good luck to you!
