In our area there arent too many properties that make it too the tax foreclosure point. The main reason being that properties that get that far behind on their taxes usually have a significant mortgage as well. In which case the lender forecloses before the taxes have become that deliquent.
This doesnt mean they cant be found. One good resource for research is http://www.ioniacounty.org then click on their online services, you can find tax info, look at tax maps etc.... You can also find who to call about tax sales as well.
Of course another great source is a local real estate agent, so feel free to call me as well.

Correct about the county (response below) if you have time to go there. You can look at this site with free registration http://www.foreclosurepoint.com
It gives, Property Type, id, Address, City, State, Zip, Size, Bd/Ba, Zestimateâ„¢, EOB ,Filing Date. We have a web site for our area in Washtneaw County of distressed properties at http://www.kathytoth.com/custompages_reports.php?key=b81162 Best Regards, http://www.KathyToth.com

Go the the county office. They should have a list of the tax foreclosures there, however some counties charge for this. Some post them online at the county web site. Be very carefull. There is a redemption period that the original owner has to get the property back. You should have legal advice before you proceed with a tax sale. Ionia doesn't appear to have a complete web site at this time, try (616) 527-5320 to contact them directly.
