Government Tax foreclosures seem like a great idea, but it is a fairly complicated process, and there are professionals out there who know how to game the system so that their bids win. There are so many bank foreclosures and short sales out there, you would probably have better luck that way. Just remember, you make money in real estate when you buy- you have to buy at the right price!

If you would like to work with an agent, let me know- I know quite a few in your area. In the realtor side of the MLS you can set up specific searches for foreclosure and short sale, and your agent can e-mail them to you automatically.
