Is it possible to get a mortgage 2 years after the sherrif sale?

Asked by Rebeccaklemp, Mount Calvary, WI Mon Dec 31, 2012

The foreclosure on our house was filed 2 1/2 years ago, and the sherrif sale was Oct 2010. It took the bank 2 years to transfer the deed, simply because they didn't want the property. They refused to work with us to modify our loan after I lost my job. We had to relocate 2 hours north and I have now been at my current employer for almost 4 years. My husband has been with his employer for over 2 years. We make a combined income of over 80k yearly. We are looking to purchase a home for about $150k. Our credit is good, with my score of 685 and my husbands being slightly higher. Where can I find lending?
