If the Notice of Default was filed six months ago and it was paid. Then the owner got behind again. Do the bank have to file a new Notice?

The laws of your State will have to be followed. My best professional guess is that you will have to start the procedure all over again.

The lien holder does not have to refile if there was not a release of lis pendens.

Check the county recorders office and a real estate attorney to verify.

There is no need to refile if one is on file and has not been removed.
