I was just wondering what neighborhoods in Brooklyn I could reasonably expect to find a 2-3 br apartment that's under 1000$ per person per month.

I'm not going to pop the bubble because you can find apartments in that price range but they come up rarely maybe two a year... I know rents are so expensive, it stinks. Wish you the best! Jeannette Batisikas

Hello I do many rentals in Brooklyn, NY and the prices have climbed significantly over the years because so many people lost their homes and have to rent, and renters living in homes hat are in preforeclosure and foreclosure have to move.

I can say that the cheapest neighborhoods are Brownsville and East New York and East Flatbush but even these areas have rents that have increased. Usually you'll find basement apartments, small regular apartments or one's not in very good shape at those prices.

But if you look hard enough you may find a diamond in a pile of hay. Good luck!
