In your area (Fontana) I would go to the Century 21 King Office. I recently worked with that office on transaction and I would say that office has a good thing going. Perhaps you can start off by assisting an agent or two on evenings and weekends until you know what you are doing. You may be able to double up on Open Houses on Saturdays and Sundays. When I started, I jumped right in and learned as I went along. After a while I sort of had a mentor and he helped me understand a lot.
Once you get a few sales under your belt and have a decent savings the time will come to decide whether or not to quit your day job. I had to do that when it was my time. I resigned from my stable career and entered into the world of Real Estate Fulltime. That was the best thing that I ever did for myself. I have never looked back and I get so much more fulfillment out of my career now.

Best of luck!
