I have well and septic. Dump out your septic tank every 3 years by a professional. Bring a flashlight to inspect the inside of the tank and baffles. Properly maintained septic system should last a lifetime. As for the well, mine is 220 ft down. The pump is at the bottom of the well. Provides clean cold water. Most of area the water is hard. Which means water passed thru limestone on its down to the aquafilers. Hard water has calcium in it. If you have too much you may consider a water softner (salt).... more
A good place to start is this website https://msc.fema.gov/. Flood zones are not necessarily based on an actual zip code. Contacting your local insurance professional with a specific address will give you the best answer.... more
Hi Sanal, You definitely need a lender experienced in this area to advise and pre-approve you. Many will say that you need landlord experience in this situation. This is true of some programs, but not of others. There are other possible pitfalls that must be gone through one by one to make sure you are all set and don't misstep. You should be speaking with a lender before you start the process of looking to rent and/or buy so that you know exactly where you stand and how to proceed prudently. If I can be of assistance, feel free to contact me at your convenience. I would call a reputable heating and air conditioning company ie Supreme 732 469-2124 they have done new construction and service for years. I have worked with contractors for years and they used this company in all price ranges, Then call a local propane company and get their prices and fuel costs ie Ferrel Gas in Three Bridges etc. We as realtors are not experts in these fields and are really advised not to give opinions it is out of our realtor field, Heating and hvac companies have formulas as to sq ft usuage and how much air flow is required and how much fuel it will cost per unit etc. That would be your best bet... more
Flemington a.k.a. zip code 08822 encompasses the Boro, Raritan Township, part or Readington and Delaware Townships. As you move outside of the Historic Boro the median price increases since the homes are (for the most part) far newer and larger in bot square footage as well as lot size. I've found that some web sites TRY and provide that "median" price but they are far, far from accurate as I think you know.... more
Absolutely, and you won't be the only one in line! Once you close go to the tax assessor and appeal your taxes. Hunterdon County assessed properties at the hieght of the market and the township is aware that homes may sell for less. I have had clients successfully appeal in the last few months and always advise my clients to try. Best of luck. Please contact me directly if I can be of further assistance.... more
