My NC Homes Team answered:
There are no such things as bridge loans and there hasn't been for many years. A seller can contribute some to your closing costs but there are limits and there's no such thing as free money, Sellers simply add this amount on to their bottom line but it can help buyers who have a cash flow issue like yourself. Sellers may not contribute to your down payment.

I'm guessing you're a first time buyer and the best thing you could do to help yourself would be to find an experienced buyer broker to work with. Read the link I've attached below and then try clicking on the Find an Agent tab in the green bar at the top of every Trulia page and entering the area you're interested in buying in. There ARE houses out there, just not in Fitchburg. You can, however, get really nice apartments in two or three family houses for $1000 or under in Fitchburg. I am actually picturing one I showed a couple the other day that is in a good location and is very roomy. There is a 3 bedroom in Winchendon that is an actual house. I would check your credit rating because if you could afford $1000 in rent, you could apply that towards a 3+ bedroom mortgage for the same money. ... more
