850. That'd be the ideal score.

Over 700 is very solid.

620-640 is marginal.

Below that, you'll have difficulty.

I've been seeing some banks on the broker channel advertise 580-620 FICO for FHA. However, I suspect it's going to be like pulling teeth to get that loan to close.

Minimum credit score these days is 640, but the higher the score, the better rates you can get.
