A conventional loan with good credit can take as little time as two weeks - FHA or VA loans have a longer processing time and could be from 4 to 6 weeks after application; a lot depends on what company you are getting the loan through.

Qualified for a loan takes a few hours, close on property after an executed agreement signed by all parties average from 30 -45 days. If you miss close date due to lender delays you may not have to pay additional funds refer to executed contract, if an amendment submitted timely could prevent payment if all parties agree .

It can take anywhere from 2 weeks at the fastest to 45 days. Some lenders are backed up in underwriting because of the low rates, being understaffed, and their competitors out-of-business. But there are some lenders who can get a purchase loan done very quickly still.
