Anne,

There are very few agents/broker who only deal with buyers and you are better off finding one who does a balance of both because they will understand the process intimately from both sides.

In addition to handling a balance of Buyer and Seller clients, my team of pros and I deal with international/out of area buyers and understand the different needs you have buying from afar. We are currently working with buyers from France, Bulgaria, and Japan, and have dealt with ones from all over the US as well.

With us you have the added benefit of the owner of the company involved in your transaction, however, I suggest you interview at least 3 Brokers to get the right mix of experience, knowledge, and skill, so you will know you have the right person/team taking care of you.

Best Regards,

Or, Anne, you can call both Scott and Andrew & Elana, and buy one from each of them!

Click on their profiles; I think you'll like what you see.

Hi Anne, Trulia is a great place to begin your search - go to the "find a pro" section and look by community/zip/county/state. Agree with prior poster, interview several and be sure to read the testimonials (you'll find them on the agents' profiles) and ask to speak to past clients. Find an agent that is FULL TIME, knowledgeable - knows her market and inventory cold, has the analytic knowhow to tap and work with the substantial amount of data for your benefit, is responsive and works the way you do.

Once you find her - and assuming she delivers on her promises - reward her with your loyalty ;-)!

Hello Anne, I'm with Lance on this one. Interview a few agents who you find online prior to coming to the Peninsula.

Ask for the names and numbers of at least 3-5 of the agents past clients. They should be able to share all you need to know about an agent. The agent you choose to work with should know the area extremely well and also network with other top agents in the area. 90% of the transactions are done by 10% of the agents.

Feel free to check my personal and team websites. My office is a few blocks from Burlingame.

Cheers,

HI Anne,

If you find Trulia helpful, may I suggest that you start your search for your buyer's agent here in Trulia by going to the "Find a Pro" tab, above. You can narrow down your search by the geographic area where you are looking to buy.

Hope that helps,
Ros

All the best,
Ros

Hi Anne. Two ways. You can click on Find A Pro on the tab above these boxes, at the top. Or, you can call or email Andrew below. One thing you definitely want in a buyer's agent is someone that responds. Since he's on top of things, why not give him a call/email?

That was easy.

GOOD LUCK.

Anne,

if you know where you'd like to buy, you need to simply contact a real estate agent, like myself. I cover the whole area of Southwest Florida and would be happy to represent you as a buyer as well as help you get the foreign national loan you are looking for.
